In Penang, beef noodles are very hard to come by. There are only a handful of stalls selling beef noodles compare to other hawker food. For us, our regular joint is the stall at Beach/Chulia intersection.
Besides beef noodle, we also like this Hakka style beef ball noodle. From what we gather, this is the only stall selling this delicious noodle in town. The bowl of dried noodle is topped up with stewed minced beef cooked in dark soya sauce. Additional items of spring roll and bean curd can be added too. We usually go for the dried koay teow and loh sui fan.
The dried noodle comes with a bowl of clear soup with ten springy beef balls and plenty of fresh parsley. The soup tasted superbly good with an added dash of pepper.
This delicious bowl of beef ball noodle cost RM4 and is only available from this stall for breakfast till lunch at Hoe Ping coffee shop located at Penang Road/Kampung Malabar. Try to be there early because the additional items are sold out pretty fast. This coffee shop offers two more yummy hawker food, lobak (available for the whole day) and bak moi (only at night).

looks good... too bad that I can't take beef due to religion.
I love this place too as the soup is of clear base and comes with lots of taugeh. Wasted the boss no longer produce the tendon type of beef balls.
new kid on the blog - oops, didn't know that you can't take beef.
criz lai - I like the tendon beef balls too(ngau gun)...now less stalls selling ...do tell me if you come across it.
Hakka Beef Ball Noodles....look delicious. Will try it when I go to town.
Hope you will like it :)
Anyone can provide the map for this Beef noodles stall??
I tried one in Sg. Nibong, just one road beside Sg. Nibong Police station.
My favorite is the CLAYPOT BEEF NOODLES. It taste excellent especially during rainy night.
By the way, this stall only operate during evening.
We went to try the beef nooddle soup at Hoe Ping and to tell you the truth, we prefer the one at Beach Street (still the best in Penang)
