We were surprised to be greeted by a traditionally dressed doorman when we entered the restaurant from the back entrance.
Their staff were quick in guiding us to our table. As soon as we were seated, a plate of mixed fruit cocktail is served. For drinks, we were recommended the Mango Lassi. This yogurt like drink was creamy and smooth.
There were so many mouth watering dishes to choose from and after much deliberating among ourselves, we end up having the Chicken Hyberabad, Gobi Manchurian, Masala Chicken and a vegetable. The curry of all the dishes were very flavorsome.
A basket full of papadam was served together with the meal.
After the meal, we treat ourselves to three different type of desserts. The Banaras Son Palpua - has a crisp and flaky texture, Palkoa garnished with pistachio nuts and lastly a cup of ice cream. All of them are tantalizingly sweet.
There are more dishes that we love to try on our next visit and their Tandoori is one of them.
We were happy with their services as their staff were very attentive and helpful. The place is so clean and well maintained. Definitely no hesitation in entertaining friends in this lovely place.

wow...can't wait to try out their naan and curries!!
What would you recommend for a first timer there??
There are so many dishes, take your time to choose. Go for those with thick gravy (e.g. chicken masala) that goes well with the must-have basket of naan :)
Yea, i & my husband went there for supper once, and we tried the chicken masala with naan as well. Their food overall is not bad. but i find it would be abit expensive...cause they are consider selling restaurant price.
gill gill - its expected to be more expensive la... once in a while for a change... in a relaxing environment :)
I have eaten there a couple of times when home in Penang .. agree that the price might be slightly more than your average mamak but clean and enjoyable experience especially if you sit in the 'shack' area makes it worth it.
Pauline - I do agree with you...have to pay more for some comfort and cleanliness.
