Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. recently launched their new motorcycle, the FZ150i under the theme "Innovation and Power". Under "innovation" comes the first fuel injection engine for locally assemble motorcycle and as for "power" comes 150cc. The bike comes with delta box frame and is liquid cool. With all these features we thought it will cost a "bomb" but they tag it less then RM8,000. Killer for those bike enthusiastic who cannot dig too deep into their pockets. This model comes in three colours - red, black and green, all metallic and all the colours were vibrant and catchy. More information can be found at their official web site http://www.yamaha-motor.com.my/ This model was definitely well receive by the audience and everybody give a standing ovation at the end of the launch.

As for this colour........... well, is their "concept bike" and cannot be found on the road!!!. Luckily, hubby took the opportunity to take a snap shot with it before they ship it to their warehouse.

After the launching we were treated to their annual dinner. Food and drinks were plenty. We were even treated to an early "yee-sang" dish. The "God of Prosperity" took time out to hand each of us a mandarin orange and an any-pow - guess the aim was to give us early prosperity.

The launch was held at Genting Highland Convention Centre. As it was near Chinese New Year, the hotel and the theme park was decorated with Chinese lanterns.

Happy Chinese New Year everybody!

What is "Kampar Fish Jelly"? Well everyone will presume something sweet. Actually it is Yong Tau Foo, which is mostly found in Kampar, Ipoh and KL. There are a few shops selling it in Penang but we prefer this shop located in Sungai Nibong town (near Queenbays Mall). The shop is airy though it is located in middle of a row of shops, clean and brightly lited.

Yong Tau Foo is basically fish paste stuffed into varieties of vegetables and tofu. The fish paste is very fresh and springy.

Fried ingredients are served separately and the rest of the ingredients comes in a bowl of clear and tasty soup. All goes well with choices of white rice, yam rice and even Hakka noodles with minced pork.

Another side dish - Beggar Chicken.

Having Yong Tau Foo for lunch was great and do try out their barley drink (foo chook yee mai).

The first thing to start the day off is having breakfast and what's more with bread. We find it nutritious and it goes well with various spreads, both sweet and savory or with meats, cheeses, and vegetables. Recently we found the Rainforest Bakery outlet in Chulia Street.
We would seriously recommend it to all you bread lovers out there. This is one place that makes seriously great bread. All the bread and the other bakery products are preservative free. The proprietor, Mr Tan and his wife are very friendly and goes to great length to share with all their customers the different types of bread they have and the ingredients in it.

There are an abundant choices of bread made from rye and seeded products.

We tried their carrot and banana cake. Both were very rich and tasted equally good.

Nowadays we have been patronising this bakery whenever we need to replenish our supply of bread.
